What do you like best about Palette?
The Palette team was extremely helpful in getting our tool up and running. We had several plans that were difficult to calculate through an excel sheet and resulted in many errors. Palette inputted all the different plans and calculations into the tool and had the system pull all inputs directly through integrations with Hubspot and our accounting system. The tool simplified our entire process and allowed the sales team to see exactly how much commissions they had earned each day. This shaved off hours of the finance team’s time as we no longer had to manually calculate commissions and fix errors every month. We’ve also been able to pay out commissions more frequently as we don’t spend as much time creating the commission statements for our teams. Most of all, I found the Palette team to be extremely responsive and helpful anytime we needed them through this process. They were able to get us up and running in no time and constantly help our team with adding new plans. We did a lot of research before getting a commission tool and I am really glad we went with this one!
After comparing multiple commission software options we found Palette to be the best in price, customizability, design, and support. Palette’s customer-first mentality really shows with their assistance during onboarding, no-cost implementation, free admin seats, and openness to feedback.
Easy of use, and very clear dashboards that give you a great overview of how you perform. For every calculation, there is a clear explanation that helps you understand better the way commissions are applied
What do you dislike about Palette?
A minor item from the finance and HR side – There’s no easy way to tell if you paid off commissions from the finance or HR side. There’s an approval step that we use for supervisors to approve statements however given our organization is a little complex, it would be nice to have a different coloured checkmark for HR/Finance to show that this amount for the month has been paid.
I found myself getting a bit lost in the dashboards at first. I continued circling through the same screens before figuring out the correct path to the information I was looking for. That being said the team is always open to feedback and I’ve already seen improvements based on customer feedback.
